Cookie Policy
We keep cookies to a minimum. We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of you. We do use Google Analytics to understand in aggregate how the site is used, but only on public pages and only after you agree through our consent banner. Inside the program there is no analytics at all.
Our approach
Cookies and similar technologies are small files or markers that a website can store in your browser. Many sites use them for advertising and to track people across the web. We don't. We use only what is needed to run the site, plus, on public pages and with your agreement, analytics to understand in aggregate how the site is used. We never use any of this inside the program.
What we actually use
- On-device memory (strictly necessary). So you can continue a program where you left off, and to remember your analytics choice, we store small markers in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, are never sent to us, and are used only for those features.
- Analytics, only with consent. On public pages we use Google Analytics 4. It does not load and sets no cookies until you accept it in our banner. When you accept, it uses cookies to count visits and measure use in aggregate. We run it with Google Signals off and advertising features denied, so it is not used to profile you or to follow you around the web. It is never active inside the program.
- Payment (on Stripe's pages). When you proceed to checkout, our payment provider Stripe may set cookies on its own pages for security and fraud prevention. These are governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies.
- Embedded video (on program pages). Videos inside programs are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, which is designed not to store information about you unless you play the video.
Analytics and your choice
The first time you visit a public page, a banner asks whether you agree to analytics. Until you choose, Google Analytics does not load and sets no cookies. If you accept, it loads and we measure use in aggregate, with advertising features and Google Signals turned off. If you decline, nothing analytics-related is loaded and we remember that choice so we do not ask again.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the Cookie settings control in the footer of any public page to reopen the banner and accept or decline again.
Managing your choice and cookies
You can reopen the analytics banner at any time with Cookie settings, in the footer of every public page. You can also clear or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings. Blocking the on-device memory simply means the site will not remember where you left off in a program, or your analytics choice. Blocking cookies on Stripe's checkout pages may prevent payment from completing.
Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce technologies that require consent, we will update this policy and put the appropriate controls in place before doing so. We will change the date at the top when we make changes.
