Cookie Policy

Last updated 1 June 2026

We keep cookies to a minimum. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of you. That is also why you won't see a cookie consent banner on this site.

Our approach

Cookies and similar technologies are small files or markers that a website can store in your browser. Many sites use them for advertising and to track people across the web. We don't. We use only what is needed to run the site and, optionally, to understand in aggregate how it is used.

What we actually use

  • On-device memory (strictly necessary). So you can continue a program where you left off, we store a small marker in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is used only for that feature.
  • Aggregate statistics (privacy-friendly). We may use a cookieless analytics tool that counts visits in aggregate. It does not set advertising cookies, does not identify you, and does not track you across other websites.
  • Payment (on Stripe's pages). When you proceed to checkout, our payment provider Stripe may set cookies on its own pages for security and fraud prevention. These are governed by Stripe's own cookie and privacy policies.
  • Embedded video (on program pages). Videos inside programs are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode, which is designed not to store information about you unless you play the video.

Why there is no banner

Consent banners exist because of non-essential cookies, especially advertising and cross-site tracking cookies, which require your consent. We don't set any of those. The on-device memory is strictly necessary for a feature you asked for, and our statistics are collected without cookies. Because there is nothing that legally requires consent, we don't interrupt you with a banner.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings. Blocking the on-device memory simply means the site will not remember where you left off in a program. Blocking cookies on Stripe's checkout pages may prevent payment from completing.

Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce technologies that require consent, we will update this policy and put the appropriate controls in place before doing so. We will change the date at the top when we make changes.
